There is a new trend taking off in BlackBerry App World. Artist specific music apps. There are not a lot of them, but I am hoping that this is a trend that will continue to grow. All of our regular readers at BlackBerryStuff.invioe.com know that I am always looking for new and free apps in BlackBerry App World. Well, today, I found a few for all of our music fans.
There are several great music apps available, (ie: Pandora, 7 Digital Music Store, iHeart Radio, and Slacker, to name just a few.) With these new apps, you can keep up with your favorite music artists. Most of the apps have their latest news, music, clips of videos, interviews, tour info, and a lot more.
Who are these artists? Well, I’ll tell ya! Keep in mind, most of these apps require BlackBerry OS 6, and a device that has wi-fi.

In one of my previous articles, I mentioned how excited I was when I dove into my new BlackBerry Bold 9650′s pre-installed apps and found the ScanLife App. We have talked about bar code reading apps here at BlackBerryStuff.invioe.com before, such as edocrab, but ScanLife has had some pretty big press lately, so I thought we would give you an overview. It’s a pretty cool app to have & the personal accounts are free.
Let’s start out with a bit of background info on the company behind the ScanLife App. ScanLife was made by a company called Scanbuy.
Just in case you missed out Tweet, I wanted to give you a quick overview of some of what we have in store for you this week.
We will be taking a look at the ScanLife App, which if you are with Sprint and have plans of getting the new Bold 9650, comes pre-loaded with ScanLife. We are also going to be taking a look at FlyCast 2.0 for BlackBerry, and we will have the Solio Charger review up for you as well.
Yep, that’s right! It arrived around 6:00PM, last night. I have to say that I’m am more than impressed, so far. You can expect a full review and a look at all of the devices “bells & whistles”, as well as the Solio Mono Charger review, within the next 48 hours!

Not that I dislike paid apps, but if you can get it done for free, jump on it!

Tether, the application formally known as “TetherBerry”, has turned 1 Year Old & to celebrate they are giving away devices….WooHoo! I received an email today informing me that Tether is giving away 3 BlackBerry Devices, and as if that isn’t enough, they are also giving away 3 Android Devices, of YOUR CHOICE ….Rock On Tether!
Here is a quick breakdown of Tether for BlackBerry, for those of you what are not familiar with it. “Tether is an application that allows your PC to take advantage of your Blackberry Smartphone’s data plan, allowing you to access the Internet on your laptop anywhere there is cellular coverage from your Blackberry.” Tether has also recently released a beta version that is directed at the Android platform & has also released a Mac and Bluetooth version of their application.
