That’s right, you heard me, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is coming to Sprint & it’s PACKED with features & memory! ( And it’s arrival date coincides perfectly with my renewal date..lol.)
According to a press release from Sprint, the BlackBerry Bold will be available May 23rd….WooHoo! I was excited about the Curve 8350, I can barely contain myself due to the fact that the “NickNamed- Power Device”, will be available from a CDMA carrier & with wi-fi no less.
If you pay any attention to the BlackBerry Development World, You have no doubt been hearing a whole lot about Super Apps. They were first introduced @ the Mobile World Congress, by no other than Mike Lazaridis, President & Co-Chief Executive Officer of RIM. He spoke of the Super App in his keynote speech that he delivered at the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona.
We wanted to take a closer look at the Super App, from a development stand point & we also wanted to give the “non-developer” a better understanding of the Super App, so here we go!
RIM has a scheduled update for their BIS service coming up. The update will take the BIS to the much anticipated 3.0 for Northern American BlackBerry users. The estimated time for the update is approximately 4 hours, ( so not too bad ). You can check out the update features here.
Although Northern American users will have data outages during this update, the good news is that it will be in the extremely early morning hours & the majority of users will be asleep, you would think…lol.
* BlackBerry 8300 Series~RIM’s Top Smart Phone in 3rd Quarter!
Rock On 8300 Owners! The BlackBerry Curve 8300 Series smart phone is RIM’s top selling smart phone for the 3rd quarter! Now, this comes as no surprise to me, as I have been raving about the 8300 series for a while now, but I’m sure their were some that were absolutely floored & disappointed.
* Did Your BlackBerry Make the 5.0 OS Update List?
RIM has released a list of the BlackBerry devices that will be able to be upgraded to the 5.0 OS. So, did your BlackBerry make the cut? Let’s find out. The devices that were listed are the Tour 9630′s, Curve 8330′s, Storm 9500′s, Bold 9000′s, Curve 8900′s, Curve 8350i’s, and the Pearl Flip 8200 series.
The amount of memory on the device, is what was the deciding factor when it comes down to which devices can support the 5.0 OS. In order for the device to support the 5.0 OS, it must have more than 64MB of memory. So, to those of you who have the memory to support the OS, Congratts & Enjoy!

This is another one that has been all over the web today. It looks like the good folks over @ Tivo have teamed up with our favorite smartphone maker, RIM, to deliver Tivo to your BlackBerry Devices.
RIM to host their First ever ~ FREE Developers Webinar, on 9/10/09, from 2:00PM – 3:00 PM EST. I don’t know about you, but I am very excited about this opportunity!
