* The BlackBerry Bold 9650 from Sprint!
We have all seen the unboxing videos & the pictures of the new BlackBerry Bold 9650, from Sprint, floating around the web. With that in mind, I’m not going to give you just another copy cat review.
What I plan to give you, is my opinion of the BlackBerry Bold 9650, so let’s get going!
For starters, this is one of the best devices I have ever used, I Love It! My new Bold 9650, was delivered just a few short days ago and I have yet to set it down. It is litterally sitting right next to me as I write this..lol. Just like must of my fellow BlackBerry Junkies, I am never more than a few short feet away from the device, at any given moment. Without my BlackBerry, I would not wake up on time, no where I am suppose to be and at what time to be there. The 9650 might just bolster my “BlackBerry Addiction” to new heights!
The first thing you are going to notice about the BlackBerry Bold 9650, is the fact that it is one sharp looking device. It is quite a bit more sleek (thinner), than the Curve 8330, but it is about the same in length. As you may already know, the 9650 is Rocking the new optical trackpad. Now, I was skeptical about the new trackpad, but I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised. I had originally thought that doing away with the trackball was a mistake, but not now. The trackpad actually gives a better user experience. The trackpad sensitivity can easily be adjusted by going to Options, then Screen/Keyboard, then scroll down to Trackpad Sensitivity. Out of the box, it is set at 70%. I have not had to mess with it, to be honest. It works Great! In this section, you can also adjust the Font Family, Font Size, Font Style, Blacklight Brightness. You can also customize the Left & Right Convenience Keys.
The next thing that you will notice is the screen resolution. The 9650 has the best pictures that I have ever seen on a smartphone. The picture quality is amazing! The BlackBerry Bold 9650 has a High-resolution 480×360 pixel color display. If you are a Sprint customer, then you are probably familiar with their Sprint TV service. I have been with Sprint for about 7 years, and I have to say that watching videos & viewing photos on this device gives one of the best visual experiences that I have ever seen on a smartphone.
The 9650 is sporting the BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.621, which does not have the much anticipated web kit browser, but it’s pretty impressive, non the less. It gives you a speedier browser, better video viewing quality, and is just all around better!
